Dear reader, If you have read my previous story about hyper-independence, then you probably know about the Work In Progress podcast (and you are already subscribed 👀). You are also probably informed about how we started inviting professionals to share their stories and thoughts on topics of their choice and open up in front of the mic about their successes and failures. We believe that through sharing information and experiences we learn more easily and ultimately improve.

In this episode, our guest Darija Livaic reveals some really thoughtful insights from her own personal journey as someone who changed her career in her late 30s, yes, that’s right, it's never too late, a mother, and now an excited entrepreneur heading towards new horizons.

We can do it all, there is no denying that, but will it be as productive and healthy for you and your relationships, it really depends on your personal environment and circumstances. A very important note (among many more) that Darija mentions is having an equally good collaborator in the face of your partner.

From my perspective, I see it also as another form of monotasking and multitasking. If you have a fear of missing out and you want to be everything everywhere all at once (great movie by the way, starring Michelle Yeoh) then you can be a mother, change career and start your own business. Or you can let life follow a natural flow where through strategic actions you can experience each phase as it comes, focus on it and be the best version of yourself you can be in that period.
